Izzi had her first competition of the year on Ripley her new horse. She did great and got some ribbons. It was such a fun day watching her ride and enjoying time with Crystal's parents and the Levi's. Thanks for the photo pastor... i will cherish this one.

Cobalt...check...boat lift...check

So after seriously two weeks of work, i finally got the boat lift in. It sounds like it would be easy. Just buy it and plug it in and party right. Well, i forgot that there was not power out at the dock. So i had to run 400 ft of cable 18 Inches deep in the ground. So after rocking excavator and a backhoe i finally got the trench work done. (See solo's blog for the trench). Then i had to go down to the shop to pick up the lift with my sweet trailer. Then i had to bring it over to my neighbors house to help me build it (two days later). Then i had to run back to the store about 10 times over several days for little parts here and there that were needed. Break for lunch, then get Erin down to help run the water line for the dock. Run two more trips into lakeside for more parts. Finish a few emails, did one trade, then back to Rollins with the goods. Today, Don came down and helped with the electric work. Connecting everything to panel and lift. Oh and i had to run back to Whitefish on Friday, get the boat, take it to boat shop to get it ready for summer, then run back there Sat and wait around for 30 minutes for them to finish. Bring the boat back to Rollins. I needed to park it up on top of the hill by the road because i figured i would help Don finish putting in the lift and its power, then see if someone can come with me to drive my car back to the house while i drive the boat from the launch ramp to the lake house. No luck, i will have to do it tomorrow after church. But the lift is done and i am celebrating. Seriously. Oh and I had to go swimming today because some of the cables were tangled in the water. Cold but Deelish.

Elrod House...a few of my favorite things.

I love this house.  It makes me happy; not because it is in Palm Springs, synonymous for lounging in a pool drinking cool beverages but simply because it is smart.  Not green or anything like that...just amazing, cool and there is nothing else in the world like it.  It was designed by John Lautner. Or watch a video here.  The video is cheezy but shows a lot of the house.  Anyway this is one of my favorite things.
